Jim Learned the Jewelry business as an Apprentice in a Family Jewelry Business in Atlanta in the late 1980's

After about 10 years Operating a trade shop (Custom work and repairs for the trade)

Jim & his family moved to Seattle to set up a new kind of Custom jewelry Shop, Green Lake Jewelry Works.

Here they assembled a world class team of Artists who work directly with clients creating innovative custom jewelry in a relaxed, creative & fun environment.

Jim originally planned a career in Computer Science and Industrial Engineering, and considers himself lucky to have found the creative outlet of Custom jewelry making. He is a Mostly self taught Jeweler, CAD Modeler &Designer.

He has become well known for his advocacy of making Custom Design Easy, Simple & Fun, presenting at the Gemvision Syposiums, The Chicago Instore Jewelry Show, the Portland Symposium, the NY MJSA show and other industry Events.

Jim was recently asked to join the MJSA Custom Design Advisory Council and regularly speaks on Custom Jewelry Industry issues.

At this time, Jim takes on select new clients, by appointment only, and is involved daily in Design, Production and conceptual consultation for many of the jobs that we produce.
