left_arrow What the Owner of this Piece says...
Sophia, I wanted to share our proposal and how much everyone loved the ring.

I took Abby to a small mountain town called Saluda in North Carolina. Just a few miles from town is a trail that leads to a water fall. One of the things that we like to do together is hike and go to the mountains. Well I got her up at 730am and made her get in the truck and ride with me.
She was excited about her 'mystery trip'... Well we got to Pearson Family trail, and we were the first. We hiked and when we got to the falls she told me how sweet I was and that the falls were beautiful. She has always wanted to go to that small town as well, so I just decided to put it all together. Well, while we were standing at the water fall I told her to turn around and face it so I could get an 'artistic picture' from behind of her staring at the falls ;-). I forgot to mention, but I we were all bundled up with heavy coats and scarves. It was pretty chilly.

So while she stood there waiting on me to take the picture, I was actually trying to dig the ring box out of my inner coat pocket. I got down on one knee, then I said, 'Abby.... Will you marry me?' Before I could even finish the sentence she was shrilling, 'yes, yes, yes' with tears in her eyes. Now I don't cry often, but seeing her face and the amount of joy while she looked into my eyes, made me tear up pretty bad.

She absolutely fell in love with that ring! We were clinched in a tight hug however before she really looked at it. After that nice, warm, hug I stepped back and placed the ring on her finger. She stared in amazement at it. I have never seen her so happy before in my life. I actually have never been so happy before in my life... It was an amazing morning. We spent the rest of the day visiting the town of Saluda and all it's little antique shops. We bought some wine and, in typical North Carolina fashion, we dined at a BBQ restaurant.

The rest of the weekend was amazing. All our family and friends told us how amazing the ring was, and how brilliant it looked. I totally appreciate all the work that went into it, in the short amount of time given.

Thank you.
