Robert’s grandfather had him at the bench early, learning the basics in the family shop from the age of 13. By the time Robert had finished high school, he was already carving waxes, casting, and setting gemstones into original designs. In college he majored in studio art with an emphasis on metalsmithing, later incorporating complex 3D modeling and printing into his repertoire. Robert has thirty years devoted to his craft, and be it sleek minimalist designs or elaborate antique reproductions, his expertise shines through with each piece he makes.
In addition to being a metalsmith and artist, Robert is also a competitive ‘ultramarathoner,’ putting more miles on his running shoes each weekend than most put on their cars!
