Dennis M
Gold & Platinumsmith
I was brought into the jewelry industry through family, learning the trade after moving to southern Oregon in 2006. My father-in-law and brother-in-law taught me the intricacies of advanced jewelry repair, lost wax carving, fabrication, finishing, and custom design. Their family-owned jewelry store, in operation since 1979, was where I developed my skills and deepened my knowledge. Over time, I worked my way up to a combined role as custom designer, lead bench jeweler, and floor staff manager.
When my wife and I decided to relocate to Seattle, I was thrilled to discover that Green Lake Jewelry Works was hiring. It felt like a perfect fit, and I’m grateful to bring my experience and passion to such a talented team.
My creativity extends beyond jewelry - I’ve been an artist since childhood and enjoy working with graphite, paints, and digital art. I also love throwing pottery and sketching, and I’ve maintained a longtime hobby of rebuilding computers since the ’90s. Outside the studio, I enjoy traveling, hiking, and spending time with my wife and our oversized orange cat. Fun fact: I was even once a certified shiatsu practitioner!
