Guinevere J
Designer | Seattle Studio
I approach my work in jewelry design as an artist. As an oil painter, I have a particular sensitivity to color, form, texture and storytelling. I see jewelry as more than an accessory, but a wearable work of art with the power to hold memory, mark a special occasion and say something deeply personal about the person wearing it.
My fascination with gemstones began at an early age through my grandfather, whose work as a geologist opened my eyes to the individuality, history, and origins of each stone. That early curiosity continues to shape the way I approach jewelry today. I see each piece as a vessel for memory and connection that carry stories, meaning, and offering a deeply personal form of expression.
When I’m not designing, you’ll find me thrifting, gardening, or seeing live music. I have a special place in my heart for The Lord of the Rings, Paris, curating the perfect playlist, and getting lost in a good book. In my free time, I’m also a bookseller.
I’m inspired by the unconventional beauty of colored gemstones, the mystical symbolism of flowers and whimsical, unconventional beauty.
Most of all, I’m inspired by the collaborative process itself. I love getting to know my clients, uncovering the meaning behind what they’re envisioning, and translating those ideas into designs that feel personal, expressive, and enduring.
