Karlei D
Designer | Seattle Studio

I’ve always been drawn to jewelry as a form of self-expression, something personal, expressive, and entirely your own. That passion led me into the world of fine body jewelry and piercing, where I spent over five years as a studio operations supervisor and jewelry specialist. Working closely with clients to curate custom pieces gave me a strong eye for detail, balance, and personal style. I’m currently working toward my AJP certification through GIA and recently transitioned into the bridal side of fine jewelry.

Outside of the studio, I’m usually creating in other ways, from making chainmail to shooting film photography or exploring antique stores and vintage malls. Living in Capitol Hill with my three cats, I’m constantly inspired by the creativity and character of the city. I love collecting vintage cameras and oddities, and even taught myself how to play banjo on a piece from the 1920s.

When it comes to design, I’m drawn to a wide range of styles, from bold, maximalist pieces to delicate, dainty designs. I find myself gravitating toward jewelry that feels organic, distinctive, and timeless, often inspired by vintage elements and unexpected details. What I love most is helping clients create pieces that feel like an extension of themselves, something meaningful, expressive, and full of joy.
