Colin
Gold & Platinumsmith

I'm a lifelong Pacific Northwesterner and bench jeweler with over three decades of experience at the bench. My roots in jewelry go back to childhood - my mom introduced me to silversmithing and enameling when I was just 10 years old, and it sparked a passion that’s never faded. Since then, I’ve carved wax, set stones, handled repairs, and fabricated intricate designs, but what I love most is custom work - especially pieces that are technically challenging and deeply personal.

I earned my Associate in Goldsmithing from Highline College and have trained under two of the greats in the field: master diamond setter Alexandre Sidorov and master engraver Sam Alfano. I’ve even taken home top honors for engraving in national competitions. But for me, the most meaningful accolades come from the clients who trust me to create something lasting. One of my proudest moments at Green Lake was building a custom 14k gold watch featuring a hand-engraved tiger on the dial - projects like that are rare, and I’m honored to have been a part of it.

Nature plays a huge role in my life and my work. I live on a small farm in the Cascades where I grow food for my family and spend time hiking, kayaking, and foraging. Those quiet moments in the outdoors are where I recharge and find ideas.
