In 950 platinum, this custom design centers on an oval cut lab diamond, held aloft by four teardrop-shaped prongs that echo the soft curve of the stone itself. Each shoulder curls into a hand-cast motif finished with delicate milgrain edging, and three wrap-set round diamonds trace the shank as it eases into a gently domed profile, hand-engraved with a flowing scroll pattern.

Turn the ring to its side, and the story reveals itself: a single ruby, bezel-set at the base of the center stone, becomes a balloon — its strings hand-fabricated in 18k yellow gold, curling playfully into the open panels on either side. Below, the galleries are cast in the shape of an open book, hand-engraved lines rendered as delicate pages, as though the balloon has just floated up from between them.

Finished in a bright, mirror-like polish throughout, this one-of-a-kind piece pairs fine craftsmanship with a bit of storytelling — a ring made to mark a new chapter.
